The Rugby League Players Association (RLPA) is the official body representing Players in the National Rugby League (NRL), NSW Cup and National Youth Competition (NYC).
MEMBERS ARE THE STRENGTH OF THE ASSOCIATION
The RLPA was established as an avenue for the collective voice of the Players who proudly display and create the great product of Rugby League at the highest levels.
The Players now have a dedicated organisation through which they can collectively negotiate improved terms of their professional employment, greater support for grass roots development and Country rugby league, access to education and welfare programs, career transition support and guidance, financial planning and retirement assistance.
The RLPA has evolved and developed a distinct 'space' within the game of Rugby League.
The RLPA is the 'honest broker', overseeing and moderating the 'spheres of influence', being the NRL, NRL Clubs and the Player Agents, for the best interests of the Players and the game.
The RLPA is supported by an annual administration allocation as mandated by the Membership, Membership fees and a number of sponsors who have a passion for the Players and realise the need for a strong Players Association.
Through its strong business and commercial network, the RLPA can provide for its Members assistance, guidance and opportunity in relation to dispute resolution, education grants and courses, confidential counseling, legal advice, financial planning awareness, business planning and coaching services, and employment opportunities.
